AgriTech Hub

AgriTech Hub is the agritech track of the QazInnovations national foresight project, covering six directions: crop production, livestock farming, agricultural product processing, biotechnology, agricultural machinery, and digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. The track's closing roundtable (December 2023) brought together industry experts and representatives of relevant ministries and research centers.

For each direction, the foresight identified priority niches and the systemic barriers to their development — from a shortage of specialized plant-breeding departments at agricultural universities to the absence of domestic feed-additive production and weak links between science and industry. The outcome for each niche was one or two priority projects with identified potential implementers and a market capacity estimate.

A separate block of the track is agro-industrial digitalization, built around three participants: the state (creates conditions and opens up data), the farmer (gains access to technology and financial services), and IT companies (develop solutions through joint grants with science and agricultural producers).

The track produced a registry of successful agritech cases — from digital livestock-tracking platforms to food startups — as well as an ever-growing community in the AgriTech Telegram channel.
