GreenTech Hub

GreenTech Hub is part of a two-year national technology foresight project commissioned by JSC 'NARI QazInnovations.' The track covers seven directions: renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, water resources, green construction, clean air, and clean transport.

The first stage consisted of foresight sessions with more than a hundred engaged experts, an analysis of the current situation worldwide and in Kazakhstan for each direction, and the identification of priority niches and barriers to their development. The second stage was the development of targeted technology programs and roadmaps with concrete measures across four dimensions: infrastructure, finance, human capital, and regulation.

The track produced a registry of about fifteen successful cases — GreenTech technology startups, each of which passed a technical audit using a standardized questionnaire. A separate strategic session involving AIFC, international financial institutions, and venture funds worked through financial instruments for green technologies and the barriers to scaling them.

The working methodology is built on creating open registries — of experts, startups, research institutes, and manufacturers — and forming sustainable alliances between the state, business, and science. The track's active community continues its work in the GreenTech Telegram channel.
